Sunday stills - Pests and things that annoy you

Burdock is a plant that really annoy's me!! Have you ever had to pull it out of a dog or horse?

Here the Pests. Just red ants. I really wanted to get a picture of a sweat bee. They seem to always buzz around when your hands are full and can't swat them.

Also got a couple shots of some fly's.

Until next time take care

You're sure putting the new camera to good use. Trying to pull a burdock plant out of the ground is really tough too, I hate the stuff. If you ever get a wad of burrs in your horse's tail, spray it with armorall or WD 40 before you try to take the burrs out.

Nice shots. I have not had to pull burdock out of my dogs' fur, but smaller burs I have. Not cool with Miss Stella's pantaloons. : )

That Burdock looks evil! I'm glad we don't have that one around here...but we do have thorny cholla cactus...which is just as evil. bah!
That last photo gives me the willies...slimy, mucky water. ick!

Great pics and selection of pests.

Great shots, and I sure agree burdock is no fun. I hate it though when I go by places that have horses and you see their poor tails and manes full of the stuff, it actually makes me want to stop and cuss them out for it (the owners that is)!!

Burdock is one thing that doesn't grow here........to which I am FORVER grateful!

Yeah, that Burdock looks nasty. Great shots of it, but I definitely wouldn't want to have to deal with that. We've got a few weeds of our own here in Nevada that wreak havoc on dog paws. We can't walk around barefoot in the summer because of them.

Those picker bushes look nasty. We don't like bees much either. Great pictures!

Great new header on top. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Sunday!

Oh, on the burdock? If you cut it off at the root every time you see a plant in a few years you won't have any more. I always wait until they are fairly large. Little bit of work, but worth the effort as they are a bi-annual.
